
Attorney James Walcheske
Attorney James A. Walcheske is a Partner and Managing Member of Walcheske & Luzi, LLC. He is admitted and licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Wisconsin State Supreme Court, United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
James is a lifelong resident of Wisconsin who grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduating from Thomas More High School, he attended the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse, where he majored in Political Science, minored in Business Administration, and met his wife!
After college, James attended Marquette University Law School. During law school, James began his employment law career by clerking with two employment law firms, representing individuals in unemployment appeals hearings, interning with the National Labor Relations Board, and participating in an employment law trial advocacy competition. Upon graduation, James received a Pro Bono award for his volunteer work.
Since graduation, James’ practice has been completely devoted to employment law issues and assisting employees in all aspects of the employment relationship. Over the course of his career, James has represented hundreds of individuals in employment law matters, ranging from simple pre-employment contract reviews to complex discrimination and harassment cases. He has counseled and assisted individuals with their severance and non-compete agreements and successfully resolved claims through mediation and informal settlement. Never one to back down from a challenge, James is honest, realistic, and zealous. Along the way his clients have commended him for his dedication to their cases, appreciated his straightforward and practical approach, and enjoyed his sense of humor.
